The use of Bulk Bags (or Big Bags / FIBC's as they are often referred to) has exploded in recent years as more and more companies with bulk material handling needs have sought to take advantage of the savings they can potentially offer. Guttridge offer an efficient, accurate and dust free means of filling a wide range of bag sizes, either with or without liners.

 

The compact filling system is dust free and designed for use with pallet and fork trucks.

 

Specification

 

The unit is constructed with a framework to support the FIBC from its 4 loop during the filling process.

 

The frame incorporates 2 arms which the loops fit over and allows the filled FIBC to be picked up by fork lift truck and the loops slide off the arms as the FIBC is removed.

 

The support arms are height adjustable to accept smaller bags.

 

Standard Features and Options

 

  • Support frame in painted mild steel or stainless steel version.
  • The bag inlet spigot is connected to the filler, either by a simple manually operated clamping arrangement or via an inflatable seal arrangement.
  • Compaction table Incorporated in the base of the unit would be a compaction table with locations for the FIBC pallet and supported on 4 rubber anti vibration mounts to isolate the vibration from the weigh system.
    The compaction table would be powered by 2 fractional horsepower electric out of balance vibrator motors.
  • Weigh system comprising 4 shear beam load cells would support the complete FIBC Filling Unit and would be connected to a Digital Weight Indicator with adjustable set points, which could be used to control the filling rate and compaction system.
  • Pneumatic Control Panel is included housing filter pressure regulator, seal reservoir, foot switch for seal inflation and push button on panel for deflation.
    Controls fitted in a standard Rittal type IP 55 steel painted cabinet, size 500mm x 500mm x 210mm deep, suitable for mounting on the adjacent wall.
  • Electrical control panel to house the weight indicator, compaction motor starters, inverter for rotary valve etc.
