General

The Guttridge Troughflo is a modular U-trough Screw Conveyor System designed to handle foods and chemicals. Archimedean screw conveyors are widely used for the general conveying of bulk materials around packaging and processing factories as well as for hopper discharge applications. The Troughflo is ideal for conveying a wide range of free flowing powders, granules, flakes and pellets.

Specification

The Troughflo is designed for easy cleaning and maintenance - hinged lids with electrical safety interlocks allow easy access for wet or dry cleaning regimes - essential in today's modern factories. Inlet hoppers, special outlets and a wide variety of special screw auger flights are available, allowing a variety of configurations - inclined or horizontal - making the Troughflo a very versatile machine. Manufactured with contact parts in 316 stainless steel, with a range of different polish finishes.

ATEX*   Features: ATEX Certified machinery is available for applications which handle potentially explosive products Fully certified ATEX Zones 20 internally, and Zones 21 and 22 both external and internal

 

Drive Motor   Features: The drive is via a chain drive from a geared motor unit. Motors are rated to IP55 as standard   Options: The drive can be positioned above, below, or at either side - especially useful where site conditions allow limited space Direct drive with coupling Shaft-mounted gearbox Variable speed drive

 

Flighting - Cut and Folded Flight*   Features: Cut & Folded screw flighting - used in applications where a light mixing/aerating action is required

Flighting - Paddle Blades*   Features: Used in applications where a mixing action is required, the angle of incidence can be varied as can the size and shape of the paddle

 

Flighting - Reduced Pitch*   Features: Continuous screw flighting, reduced pitch - used in flood feed conditions

Flighting - Ribbon Flight*   Features: Ribbon screw flighting - used with sticky materials and those which exhibit poor flow characteristics

 

Flighting - Standard   Features: Continuous screw flighting, full pitch, right hand - the standard configuration for most applications

Hinged Lids*   Features: Hinged lids with quick release catches and electrical interlocks The hinged lid can minimise downtime and speed up cleaning

 

Inlets   Features: Tubular Inlet   Options: Hopper Inlet (pictured). Available with optional agitator Sack tip hopper Rectangular inlet

 

Stainless Steel Finish Features: Stainless steel polished to special requirements Options: Stainless Steel Mirror Finish Stainless Steel Exterior Bead Blasted Finish Stainless Steel Electro-Polish
