A new sieve tensioning system has ‘closed the technological gap’, according to a review on Solids and Bulk.
The materials handling specialists revered the TorqueMaster system, which is used in sieve shakers such as the Analysette 3, manufactured by Fritsch Analysette 3, because it allows for accurate sieving analysis.
Product reviewer Andrea Kohler admitted the Fritsch sieve shaker is not a common brand but said the TorqueMaster is the best tensioning system for all sieve stacks as it can be used with any sieve shaker.
"The unique properties of the TorqueMaster brings constant, reproducible tensioning on the sieve stack through the use of a high-quality electrical tool which results in the calibration of sieve tensioning as part of the monitoring of test equipment according to ISO 9001," she commented.
Benefits of the system include reproducible sieve tensioning, fast and easy handling and an optimal for all heights of sieve stacks.
Ms Kohler urged anyone interested to "take advantage of a tried and tested method" which she said is guaranteed to return achievable yet precise results.
Sieving analysis is carried out in a range of laboratory situations but new EC safety directives and strict in-house quality standards mean analysis must be carried out more stringently than in the past, highlighting the need for a good sieve tensioning system.
