More than 1,100 exhibitors from across the food industry are to come together for the UK’s leading meat, food and drink exhibition.
Foodex 2010 will open its doors at the Birmingham NEC Arena from March 21st to 24th and representatives from across the meat world are expected to attend.
The convention will consists of eight key events including exhibitions, presentations, competitions and the launch of new innovations in food and drink.
Previously named meatex, the organisers hope the re-branding will appeal to a wider audience.
"Foodex has been re-branded to better communicate the broad appeal of the show from meat and poultry, on to fish, dairy, fruit, vegetables, drinks, confectionery, cereals, organics and ready meals," the organisers said in a statement.
Visitors will be able to speak to food manufacturers and learn first hand about the food processing and food packaging industry.
Among the various events is the Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE), which covers a complete range of production including industrial and craft baking, as well as demonstrations on technologies for processing and packaging.
