A British brewery is today celebrating after being granted planning permission to expand its facilities.
West Berkshire Brewery is to launch a new 50-barrel brewery at Home Farm in Frilsham, the Morning Advertiser reports.
Once operational, which is expected to be within the next three years, the new site will allow the brewer to double its current production rate.
This could result in it having to purchase new steel chain conveyors to process the extra supplies.
Owner Dave Maggs told the news provider: "The larger brewery will give the company the scope it needs to grow gradually, making the everyday brewing process easier as we will be able to brew more beer in less time."
West Berkshire Brewery was established in 1995 by husband and wife partnership David and Helen Maggs.
Since then it has gone on to produce a range of award-winning beers, including Dr Hexter’s Healer which was honoured with a Gold Medal in the Premium Beers category of the 2009 Great British Beers Festival.
