UK food chain Brakes has swept the board at the 2010 British Frozen Foods Federation (BFFF) awards.

The group, which provides catering to a large portion of the UK food industry, racked up a total of 12 wins at the ceremony, compromising of five gold, four silver and two bronze awards in the starter, main course, vegetarian, multi-portion and bakery categories.

James Armitage, Brakes marketing director, commented: "We are very proud to have won so many awards.

Hailed as the ‘ultimate accolade for frozen foods’, the annual event, now in its 23rd year, provides recognition to Britain’s top performers in the food processing and food manufacturing sectors.

The BFFF was established to protect and promote the interests of companies involved in the frozen foods sector and has a number of services available to its many nationwide members.
