Firms in the food industry are being invited to join the RSPCA’s annual Animal Welfare Business Awards.
The competition provides recognition to food manufacturers and food processors that source meat and dairy products from suppliers who adhere to stringent animal rights policies.
Companies from across the food industry are invited to make a bid for the winning title, including pubs, restaurants, retailers, food handling firms and supermarkets.
As well as providing a welcome boost of business to the winning candidate, the awards act to highlight the efforts that the majority of food firms across the UK go to ensure their products are of a high standard.
In an interview with Female First, David Bowles, RSPCA head of external affairs, commented: "This is the sixth year of the Good Business Awards and we want to reward the efforts being made by food retailers that go the extra mile to promote animal welfare and recognise that consumers haven’t left behind their values in a quest for value."
