Family-run brewers Frederic Robinson is upgrading its premises in Stockport, highlighting the improved outlook for the brewing industry.
Robinson’s will receive a new range of brewing equipment after signing a multi-million pound deal with supplier Krones AG, reports morningadvertiser.co.uk.
The new brewing plant will enable the firm to produce up to eight brews per day, significantly increasing overall production.
A new energy recovery system will also be installed which will markedly improve efficiency.
Director David Robinson told the website: "This is a very exciting time for us and a development that once again shows how our company is evolving during tough trading conditions and in an extremely competitive market.
"Our finished brewhouse will provide us with a significant advantage for the production of our own beers and as a contract brewer."
The old brewing plant will remain alongside the new equipment as it will form part of the brewery tour following the opening of a new visitors centre.
