A recycling firm has returned to its former base following the rebuilding of the site after it had been destroyed by a fire.
Lincolnshire-based AWS Eco Plastics lost its main hanger last August and had to make a significant number of redundancies while the rebuilding project got underway, according to thisislincolnshire.co.uk.
However, the company’s return to the site less than a year after the devastation will not only see a number of jobs created in the recycling industry but also serves as evidence of the healthiness of the industry.
While things look to be getting back on track, commercial director Duncan Oakes said that the recruitment drive has been slower than had been initially anticipated.
He told the news provider: “It has been nearly 12 months since the fire and those who worked for us were good guys, so most of them have gone on to find new jobs anyway.
“We are in a position where we have approximately 40 roles, but we are not getting enough applications at this stage.”
