The expansion of Braeside Country Pies could boost production and demand for machinery.
The Northern-Irish firm has increased its output after securing distribution deals with cake manufacturer Fordham Fine Foods and Devon Cakes, reports bakeryinfo.co.uk.
Jeff Lee, managing director of Braeside, claimed the decision to expand the firm has been vindicated.
He told the website: “We already have a well-established business throughout Ireland, but felt there was a lot of potential for the company to broaden its reach into the wider UK market and we are delighted to be taking those first steps.”
Braeside sealed the Fordham deal in April, before gaining the confidence to approach Devon Cakes.
“We are already in talks with a number of other potential distributors and look forward to seeing our business continue to grow,” Mr Lee added.
