A Norfolk malting company has been named as one of Europe’s fastest-growing sales firms.

Anglia Maltings is based close to the town of Fakenham and makes malt and supplies in to brewers of varying sizes all over the world.

Following on from a strong couple of years’ worth of growth, its parent holding company, Ragleth, has now been listed in 98th place in the latest Sunday Times International Track 100.

According to the Eastern Daily Press, this recognition comes on the back of growing demand for its malting services, with international sales having increased by 45 per cent over the two years to the end of 2008 and continued to expand.

For the year ending December 2009, Anglia enjoyed a turnover of just over £100 million and boasted a workforce in excess of 230 people.

This comes just days after the UK brewer Greene King announced plans to open 200 more pub-restaurants over the next couple of years, with this development potentially boosting demand for beer production-related machinery.
