The farming industry could be boosted by the release of a new tractor which could help farmers reduce costs.
The McCormick CT55U tractor features an economy setting which can save users a significant amount in fuel costs.
Farms of all sizes could benefit from the new tractor which could help boost efficiency and therefore production rates.
Paul Wade, a farming equipment specialist, was full of praise for the new machine and its more powerful sister tractor which was launched in 2008.
"Whether used as a yard tractor on a dairy farm, as a workhorse machine on a horticultural unit or as an all-round power unit for larger hobby farms and equestrian establishments," he told farminguk.com.
Mr Wade added that the machine is "built to handle serious work".
The CT55U includes a four-cylinder Mitsubishi engine to enable it to develop 47hp (horse power). It is currently available for £22,665.
