London breweries have united to create a beer which could help boost the industry in the capital.
Members of the London Brewers Alliance have created London Brewers Porter which will be sold at bars and restaurants across the city, reports morningadvertiser.co.uk.
With over three thousand pints of the brew set to be produced, demand for conveyors and screw augers used during the brewing process could be set to rise.
Andy Moffat, owner and brewer of Redemption Brewery, one of the firms involved in the project, praised the London brewing sector.
He told the news provider: "We want to stun the world with the diversity of London brewers – in size, age and style. It's incredible what we now have in London and it is a relatively recent phenomenon."
Mr Moffat added that the scheme will help to change the viewpoint that the London beer market is old-fashioned compared to other European capitals.
The beer will be unveiled at an event in Brew Wharf on 17th September, while the London Brewers Alliance is planning to make another brew in the future.
