Global Industry Analysts (GIA) has released its Industrial & Institutional Cleaning Products report which predicts the sector will be worth $36.7 billion (£23.9 billion) by 2015.
The growth of the cleaning product industry will be driven by the recovering global economy and surging demand from developing countries.
America represents the biggest market for cleaning products and GIA expects sales to rise throughout the year and gain momentum from 2011 onwards.
Cleaning products are predicted to be particularly required in the Asia-Pacific region, with the market set to record a compound annual growth rate of 2.8 per cent until 2015.
The increasing number of hotels, hospitals and commercial laundries in the area will contribute to the demand, according to the report.
