Proposals for an energy-from-waste (EfW) plant in Great Blakenham, Suffolk are to come under discussion.
Suffolk County Council and the Environment Agency will hold a meeting to discuss giving planning permission to the site, which would be run by
SITA UK.
Commenting on the consultation, the agency environment manager for the area Marcus Sibley said: "We urge people to come along and talk to us and colleagues from Suffolk County Council's planning team to discuss our respective roles.
"We'd like to hear their thoughts and concerns on the proposed plant and gain feedback and ideas."
Some of the topics that will come under discussion include the impact that the plant could have on human wealth, land, water, habitats and species in the immediate area, as well as local noise levels.
If the proposals go ahead, SITA will be able to operate the plant for the next 15 years.
It was widely reported last week that local campaigners are mobilising against government plans to construct more than 80 energy-from-waste
incinerators in the next year.
