Northern Ireland-based Linden Foods is set to improve its processing capacity by investing £10 million in constructing a new development facility.
The funding will create 85 new jobs over three years, with the new site set to incorporate a kitchen, preparation, production and dispatch areas.
Further funding will also be provided by Invest NI, care of the European Regional Development Fund.
Opening the new facility, Northern Ireland enterprise minsiter Arlene Foster explained: "These new facilities strengthen Linden Foods' ability to increase productivity and expand its activity on new product development, both essential elements for future growth.
"The new packaging technology in this facility will also have clear benefits for end users and will position Linden as a leading provider of packed products for the retail market."
The company is hopeful that this investment will strengthen its position in the meat processing industry and enable the introduction of a range of new products.
