Companies in Kent are being urged to recycle a greater amount of the waste material they produce.
The Kent Community Recycling (KCR) organisation has started a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of recycling to businesses in the Folkestone area, Waste Management World reports.
Firms in the area would appear to be receptive to the idea, as many are said to have contacted the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs directly over the issue.
The KCR has sought advice from prominent local firms on how their service can help to increase the amount of waste materials being used, and is now looking to pass on this guidance to all firms in the area, the publication notes.
A similar recycling project, the Community Recycling Network, has recently been set up to help north-east community groups to access recycling programs and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
Typical Guttridge equipment used in the recycling industry includes; Conveyors – screw conveyors – chain conveyors – belt conveyors
