As a valuable and innovative addition to the design service, we have now installed an advanced "state of the art" Powder Flow Tester which will enable quick characterisation of powders and other particulate materials. The precision instrument enables Guttridge to perform scientifically proven tests that will provide the company with in-depth knowledge about the material and how the conveying equipment can be designed to optimise flow.
This graph shows the flow function of the material tested in the powder flow tester. The graph is divided into five sections from free flowing to non-flowing. The product flow function line is shown in bold and its position will indicate the flowability of the material.
The following material properties are obtained using the same process to produce a comprehensive, quantitative analysis which is invaluable tot he design and specification of the required Guttridge equipment.
